Heath currently serves as the Director of Economic Development for Pima County, where he works to diversify and strengthen the local and regional economies. His responsibilities include strategic planning, fostering innovation, business attraction, retention and expansion, and infrastructure development. He also partners with key workforce development organizations, both internal and external, to help ensure the region’s workforce is prepared for current and emerging industry opportunities and positioned for economic mobility.
In addition, he serves as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the University of Arizona in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. He teaches Economic Development 101 to master’s-level students in the School of Government and Public Policy’s Master of Public Administration and Policy program.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Arizona and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Arizona.
