LeeAnn Nixon has been involved in economic development for 13 years. Serving five years at Surry County Economic Development as vice president of existing business services, three years at Cabarrus Economic Development as existing industry project manager and now as president of Wilkes Economic Development.

LeeAnn graduated Magna Cum Laude from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Project Management. She has former experience as a Realtor and continues to maintain her North Carolina Real Estate Broker’s license to support her involvement in development and broker relationships.

LeeAnn has significant experience in growing both small and large businesses before serving in economic development. She enjoys providing daily support to local government, existing businesses and facilitating new investments. She values the relationship of strategic partnerships in the community and across North Carolina to provide solutions to business challenges.
