Will Williams is a seasoned economic development professional with over 25 years of experience driving growth, job creation, and strategic investment across South Carolina. As President & CEO of the Western SC Economic Development Partnership, he leads regional efforts to expand economic opportunities in Aiken, Edgefield, Saluda, and McCormick Counties.

Over the course of his career in the Western SC region, Will has facilitated more than $4.5 billion in capital investment and helped create over 6,000 new jobs, partnering with both domestic and international companies across a wide range of industries. He brings deep expertise in manufacturing, workforce development, and construction to every initiative.

Will has earned recognition as the 2017 SCEDA Local Developer of the Year and was named one of North America’s Top 50 Economic Developers in 2021. A dedicated civic leader, he is a past President of the Rotary Club of Aiken and a former Chair of the Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC), underscoring his commitment to community and regional collaboration. Currently on the Board of the South Carolina Economic Developers Association as well as local Chambers of Commerce.

Will is not as young as he once was but he still enjoys doing fitness related things like running, lifting weights, golf, and hiking.

Will holds a Bachelor of Science of Business from The Citadel. He is a SC Certified Economic Development Professional and has received the designation of Master Economic Development Practitioner from the Southern Mississippi University. Will is married and he and his wife have two adult sons.
